This proposed 20,000-30,000 square-foot project is intended to provide a new Mental Health Diversion Center to care for individuals experiencing mental health crises who may interact with law enforcement or emergency medical care. This facility will divert these individuals from the County Jail and provide the appropriate mental health and substance abuse interventions and resources for stabilization. This facility will operate 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. The facility will be operated and staffed by the partnering agency with which Alamance County partners for these services at the time.
